Description
Designed to deliver the best audio performance from the Raspberry Pi A+/B+/RPi2/3/3B+/4, fit within the Pi’s form factor and provide additional full access to the Pi’s 40way I/O signals allowing easy addition of IR sensors, Rotary Encoder or i2c devices (such as OLED screens) etc.
The new Pi-DigiAMP+ retains the Texas Instruments chipset (TAS5756m), maintaining full software compatibility. Added to that this version comes with a pre-programmed EEPROM allowing Raspbian to auto configure itself including unmoving the audio signals at startup.
Supported by the many software audio packages already on the market. Roon Labs / Volumio / MoodeAudio / PiCorePlayer / PiMusicBox / OpenELEC and others. The IQaudIO Pi-DigiAMP+ supports up to 24-bit / 192kHz file formats but is equally at home with lower quality MP3s bringing your music alive sonically.
The IQaudIO Pi-DigiAMP+ connects easily to the Raspberry Pi and provides up to 2 x 35W stereo output to speakers.

The IQaudIO Pi-DigiAMP+ is suitable for the latest Raspberry Pi A+/B+, RPi2, RPi3+ and 4 – it is not compatible with much older Raspberry Pi A and B Models.
The Pi-DigiAMP+ is supplied with all mounting hardware.
NOTE: The Pi-DigiAMP+ requires an external power supply / brick, and when powered the Pi-DigiAMP+ provides power to your Raspberry Pi in parallel.
Board features
IQaudio DigiAMP+ connects to the 40-pin GPIO header of Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+, Raspberry Pi 2, Raspberry Pi 3, or Raspberry Pi 4 with no need for soldering. DigiAMP+ must be powered from an external supply, and requires a 12-24V DC power source to its 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm barrel connector. The XP Power VEC65US19 power supply is recommended for use with DigiAMP+.
DigiAMP+ has been designed to provide power to the Raspberry Pi-plus-DigiAMP+ combination in parallel, delivering 5.1V @ 2.5A to your Raspberry Pi.
DO NOT APPLY POWER TO RASPBERRY Pi'S OWN POWER INPUT WHEN USING DigiAMP+.
The amplifier is by default muted at power on (mute LED lit). The mute state/LED is under software control (Raspberry Pi GPIO22).
P5: Alternative power input for hard-wired installations. POLARITY MUST BE OBSERVED!
P8: TAS5756m Internal GPIO1/2/3
