Motor 2040 - Quad Motor Controller

Pimoroni Motor 2040 is a standalone motor controller specifically designed for controlling motors with encoders. Encoder motors allow for more precise control over position and speed, making the Motor 2040 an excellent choice for building a four-wheel-drive robot or other vehicle-like projects.

Motor 2040 has a built-in RP2040 microcontroller, eliminating the need for separate controller and driver boards. Additionally, the device includes several useful features, such as voltage, current, and fault sensing, an addressable RGB LED for visual feedback, and a Qwiic/STEMMA QT connector for additional modules.

Compatibility

Motor 2040 is designed to work with the CAB1009 6-Pin JST-SH connector cable, either directly with COM0821 micro motors or with PIM604 MMME (Micro Metal Motor Encoder) encoders, which allow standard micro metal motors to be upgraded to encoder motors. Motors, encoders, and connector cables are sold separately.
